“There are several skills that a digital/tech organization should desire in a senior seller/partner lead: - industry expertise; understanding of competitive landscape, fluency in KPIs, attribution, etc. - ability to influence and lead internally, without formal authority; take feedback, set direction, rally and prioritize resources to maximize sales - senior gravitas, ability to "own the room'. Can this person gain respect and have influence on a true C-level client? - Drive or "grit". Will they go the extra mile to hit their goals? Will they rally themselves and their team when deals go sideways? David nails all these attributes and that's enough to make him a top performer. That makes any organization lucky to have him. But what stood out beyond all these traits was how much David sincerely cares about his clients and their success. He takes their success personally and that came across time and time again during the 3 years I worked with him. It allowed him to build deep credibility and build deals that had his clients thanking him. Regularly we asked David to take the stage (literally and virtually) in company all hands to walk through his approach to selling and partner management; because we wanted his approach and skillset to rub off on our other sellers. I'm sad to have him leave the team and you'll be lucky to have him on yours.”
