Stanford University’s Protection of Minors Policy establishes safeguards for children under the age of 18 who participate in Stanford programs and activities on campus or under the authority and direction of the university at other locations.
The requirements of the Protection of Minors Policy apply both to organized group activities and activities involving individual minors. Examples of the programs covered include athletic and academic camps (both overnight and daytime only), licensed childcare facilities, instructional programs, and internships. Programs operated by third party organizations on Stanford’s campus, or those directed or sponsored by Stanford that take place off campus, are also covered.
For guidance regarding the policy, including which programs and activities are covered, contact University Human Resources at (650) 721-4272 or protectminors@stanford.edu. For registration information, visit the Program Sponsors page.
