Zara Rahman’s Post

There hasn’t felt like a good time to share this given everything going on in the world right now, but I guess there won’t be in the next few weeks…. so here we are. 10 years after the first time I spoke at republica GmbH (about biometrics and refugees – a topic I ended up covering in my book!), I’m honoured to be giving another talk in just a couple of weeks time. This time though, I won’t be focusing my energy on critiquing oppressive and terrible systems – instead, I’ll talk about some of the problems, and focus more on the harder problem of *what now*. (Spoiler, I believe it’s solidarity and empathy, combined with a narrative shift about how we think about technology in our lives.) I hope to see lots of friendly faces there! https://re-publica.com/en

Awesome Zara 👏

And those are the harder problems to tackle (among others). Great you're doing the speaking circuit. Congrats!
