Implenia wins contract for large, complex inner-city railway project in Gothenburg, Sweden Trafikverket, the Swedish government agency responsible for transport infrastructure, has chosen Implenia to build a section of the “Haga” project, which forms part of the new West Link scheme in western Sweden. The contract, based on a partnership model, is worth more than CHF 100 million. It fits well with Implenia’s strategy focussing on large, complex infrastructure projects. The “West Link” project connects Gothenburg’s local transport system to the other routes that run through the city. Three new stations will be built to relieve the strain on the main station. In addition to the railway tunnel, the parallel service and emergency tunnel as well as the ventilation and fire gas tunnels, Implenia is building the new “Haga” underground station, including platforms and three entrances. “We are delighted to contribute to this significant improvement of the transport infrastructure in western Sweden. Implenia will use its many years of extensive experience to implement the project and build this important new transport infrastructure in a very tight inner-city space,” says Christian Späth, Head Division Civil Engineering at Implenia. The project will start in autumn 2024 and is scheduled for completion in 2029. 📢 Empower the next generation if you want to see real change! Around 30 CEOs and C-level leaders gathered at our «Leaders & Daughters» event in collaboration with Egon Zehnder, and each brought his/her daughter, sister, or female mentee along. 👉 The main topic: How can we groom the next generation of female leaders in Switzerland? The panelists André Wyss, CEO of Implenia, Kamila Grembowicz from Astellas Pharma, Nicole Burth, CEO Communication Services Die Schweizerische Post, Laura Burth, Robert Itschner, CEO of BKW AG, and Mio Itschner shared their personal stories about their ambitions, what got them where they are and what we need more of in the future. The event's collective brainpower was then called upon to develop practical ideas on achieving a gender-diverse workforce at all hierarchy levels. We are happy to share some of them: ⭐️ Hire for attitude and train for skills ⭐️ Give your (younger) people ownership for P&L relevant projects ⭐️ Early education – both at home and at school – so that girls are equally socialized into leadership ⭐️ Include men in the discussion; paternity leave hugely matters as it includes men when a baby is born for early bonding ⭐️ Provide mentorship by people who have been there themselves and know how to grow mentoring into career-sponsoring relationships We can’t wait to see the amazing daughters and mentees take up the baton and help lead Switzerland into a more gender-equal future! Huge thanks to Simone Stebler and Anna Mattsson for their engaging moderation, to the artist Bianca Rathgeb for her visual summary, and to Manuel Meister and Andrea Hopfgartner from Accenture DACH for generously hosting this event. And, of course, to the Advance Board members who joined this event with their daughters/mentees Marion Leslie, Nora Teuwsen, Holger Laubenthal. Thank you to all participants for the inspiring breakout sessions and the lively discussions that continued well into the networking dinner. Dr. Nina Ranke, Elena Rittstieg, Beatrice Gruetter Together, we #advance faster #LeadersAndDaughters #FemaleLeaders

Gesundheitsbau bei Implenia: https://bit.ly/45XXLnw Jens Vollmar, Roman Müller, Stefan Tripic, Nils Eichbaum, Daniel Baumli, Thomas Wernli, Xhevdet Mahmutaj, Barbara Woog, Driton Selimaj, Mary Ardizzone #Implenia #ImpleniaProjects #Construction #Buildings #LUKS #Transformation #Digitalisation #BIM #Sustainability #HealthcareConstruction #Luzern #Kinderspital #Frauenklinik #Gesundheitswesen #Nachhaltigkeit #Minergie #Recycling #LUKS20240708 Bilder: © Alex Kaeslin

CONSTRUCTION FOR EVERYONE: IMPLENIA TAKES PRIDE IN DIVERSITY AND COMMUNITY! Among others during Pride Month, Implenia Norway paraded through the streets of Oslo with the diversity network Diversitas. Under Diversitas’ slogan “Construction for everyone!”, Implenia employees celebrated diversity, equity and inclusion in construction along fellow companies in the industry. Head of HR in Implenia Norway, Sigrunn Wangen Lid, is the driving force behind Implenia’s participation at the Oslo Pride parade: “Pride is a great way to celebrate our differences and to show our employees and the rest of the world that Implenia welcomes diversity. Implenia wouldn’t be the same without all our fantastic and unique individuals and we want everyone at Implenia to feel like they can be themselves.” The construction industry has a relatively homogenous workforce, and Implenia constantly strives to create a culture where diversity is seen as a strength and everyone feels valued for their individuality. This is a continuous effort that requires awareness and action throughout all levels of the organization. “Inclusion and diversity is a process and we’re constantly working to improve. With this festive celebration we signal to ourselves and the rest of the construction community that Implenia has room for everyone regardless of who they happen to love,” says Sigrunn Wangen Lid. RICS/HSLU WEBINAR (JULY 3RD): UNLOCKING THE INVESTMENT POTENTIAL OF BROWNFIELD PROPERTIES Sustainability has a strong impact on real estate markets and on portfolio allocations of institutional investors who are facing major challenges with their existing properties in terms of transforming them into sustainable assets and consequently to avoid stranded assets. Driven by challenging regulatory frameworks and growing pressure from appraisers, a disruptive development away from “green premiums” towards “brown discounts”, a devaluation for properties that do not meet relevant sustainability requirements, is likely. In this week’s webinar by RICS & Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Reimer Siegert, Head Real Estate Investment, and Irma Kessler, Consultant Real Estate Investment & Business Development, will shed light on transformative strategies and discuss the challenges and opportunities of sustainable redevelopments, based on Implenia’s own case studies. The presented results will also be summarized in the July edition of Schweizer Immobilienbrief and IMMOBILIEN Business magazine. We are looking forward to the exchange of experiences and your participation: 📅 July 3, 2024 🕕 13:00-14:30 Please register at: https://lnkd.in/dGHRdAcy Learn about our expertise in Real Estate Investment: https://bit.ly/3VPVpCz Adrian Wyss, Marc Lyon MRICS, Marc Ruppli, Armin Hafner, CAIA, Carl-Friedrich Hezel, CREA®, Christina Klass, Michael Hintzen, Stephan Meierhofer, Prof. Dr. Michael Truebestein FRICS #Implenia #SustainableRealEstate #Repositionings #RealEstateInvestment #InvestmentPotential #ESG #Strategies #Sustainability #Brownfield #Transformation #RICS #HSLU #RICS20240701

FUTURE TALK AT IMPLENIA: WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE FUTURE OF RETAIL, AND MIXED-USE SPACES. On June 26th, Implenia hosted another inspiring "Future Talk." These sessions bring fresh ideas and insights to our employees, featuring external experts who share their perspectives on the future of work, mobility, and living. This particular session delved into the future of living, retail, and mixed-use spaces, fostering innovative approaches in these vital areas. We're excited to continue these discussions and shape the future together. We thank our three amazing keynote speakers: 👉 Hans Karssenberg | LinkedIn, Co-Founder and urban planner of STIPO and Placemaking Europe. 👉 Lisa Bierbrauer| LinkedIn, Head of Business Development at nonplusultra. 👉 Alejandro Garcia | LinkedIn, Founder & CEO of AI Retailer Systems. Key insights: 💡 Hans Karssenberg, a placemaking expert from Amsterdam, emphasized the importance of creating spaces that are not just functional but also foster a sense of community and innovation. He distinguished between 'space' and 'place,' highlighting that a 'place' is imbued with meaning by its community. A great “city at eye level” requires a variety of functions (software) and a good design (hardware). This can only be achieved with a good curation strategy (orgware). 💡 Lisa Bierbrauer, from nonplusultra, a retail growth agency, discussed the evolving landscape of retail. She stressed the need for brands to adapt to new consumer expectations and behaviors, particularly in creating immersive experiences that bridge online and offline channels. 💡 Alejandro Garcia, from AI Retailer Systems, demonstrated how video analytics and AI can revolutionize retail operations. He presented applications of this technology, such as automated checkout and theft prevention, which can enhance both operational efficiency and customer experience. This Future Talk highlighted the necessity for innovation in urban spaces and retail, with a focus on community, consumer engagement, and AI-driven operational efficiency. These insights lead to future improvements in urban living and retail.
