Healthy curiosity. Medical device manufacturers continue to show strong interest in SABIC’s materials, as evidenced by their activity at NPE2024 this past May. Specifically, they wanted to learn more about chemically resistant solutions. A standing-room-only crowd turned out to hear Dr. Yuanqing (Emily) He’s talk on the exceptional chemical resistance of SABIC’s LNP™ ELCRES™ CRX PC copolymer resins. These specialty materials help prevent environmental stress cracking from exposure to harsh chemicals and disinfectants. The #SABIC exhibit also attracted plenty of attention. Stress-less #sterilization with ULTEM™ HU resins. The EPA final rule limiting toxic EtO sterilization emissions indicates that it will cut allowable EtO emissions from commercial sterilizers nationwide by 90%. So, what’s next?
