⭐ High-heat ULTEM™ resin meets ARBURG’s high-temp printer. At RAPID + TCT 2024, ARBURG will be showcasing its newest high-temperature, pellet-fed printer, the freeformer 750-3X HT. It’s able to produce complex, functional parts. ARBURG will demonstrate the machine’s impressive capabilities by printing samples using SABIC’s high-heat ULTEM 9085 resin. 👉🏼 Be sure to stop by ARBURG’s booth (2001), watch the demo and receive your printed sample. ULTEM 9085 resin is a flame-retardant polyetherimide (PEI) material with excellent physical and mechanical properties that can be used in demanding applications, including aerospace parts. Walt Thompson and David Voorde from #SABIC will be at the show and can answer questions related to our materials that are well suited for pellet-fed additive manufacturing (#PFAM). ⭐Contact them in advance to set up a meeting at the show. #plastics #ChemistryThatMatters #SABICSpecialties #advancedmanufacturing #additivemanufacturing #rapidtct

⭐ Additive manufacturing in action at RAPID + TCT. At RAPID + TCT 2024, you can watch @JuggerBot 3D print in real time at their booth (2827) using SABIC’s LNP™ THERMOCOMP™ AM compounds. Using its pellet-fed Tradesman Series™ P3-44 printer, JuggerBot will print two #SABIC materials: 👉🏼 LNP THERMOCOMP AM AF004XXAR1 compound is a glass fiber-reinforced ABS resin with good colorability, good processability and excellent machinability. 👉🏼 LNP THERMOCOMP AM DC0041XA51 compound is a flame-retardant, carbon fiber-reinforced product based on PC. This rail-grade compound complies with EN45545 R1 HL3 and R7 HL2. Walt Thompson and David Voorde from SABIC will be on hand to support JuggerBot 3D and answer questions related to our materials. Make plans to stop by the booth. Better yet, contact Walt or David in advance to set up a meeting at the show. ⭐ LSAM production parts at RAPID + TCT. Large-scale additive manufacturing (LSAM) is delivering real parts, used by real OEMs. You’ll see some of them at the Thermwood booth (2301) at RAPID + TCT 2024 in Los Angeles. These large, complex parts are printed on Thermwood’s LSAM printers using SABIC’s LNP™ THERMOCOMP™ AM compounds that are well suited for pellet-fed additive manufacturing (#PFAM). Check out these applications at their booth (2301): 👉🏼 Autoclave tools printed with THERMOCOMP™ EC004EXAR1 and EC004XXAR1 for aerospace composite layups 👉🏼 Trim fixtures printed with THERMOCOMP™ AC004XXAR1 to aid in manufacturing processes Walt Thompson and David Voorde from SABIC will be on hand to support Thermwood and help answer questions related to PFAM materials. So, stop by the booth, and consider contacting Walt or David in advance to set up a meeting at the show. #SABIC #plastics #ChemistryThatMatters #SABICSpecialties #rapidtct #advancedmanufacturing #additivemanufacturing

⭐ Presenting the #PFAM collection. SABIC’s LNP™ THERMOCOMP™ AM compounds that are well suited for pellet-fed #additivemanufacturing (PFAM) are now searchable on our Material Finder website (click on the link in the comments). 👇🏼 More than a dozen choices are available, including grades that are flame retardant and those made with no intentionally added PFAS. They can be used directly in most pellet-fed 3D printers, or as materials to produce filaments. SABIC’s Material Finder website is your central location for searching, comparing, evaluating and selecting specialty thermoplastic materials for potential use in a wide range of applications. ℹ Don’t forget – you can contact SABIC through the Material Finder site for technical support, product literature and much more. #SABIC #plastics #ChemistryThatMatters #plasticsengineering #plasticsindustry #chemicalindustry #SABICSpecialties #advancedmanufacturing

Our “baby” is right on schedule. 🕗 Every new arrival can benefit from a routine. In our case, the new Juggerbot Series P3-44 printer, a medium-format pellet-fed #additivemanufacturing (#PFAM) machine, is now on a regular schedule of operations at SABIC’s Polymer Processing Development Center in Pittsfield, Mass. Next step – evaluating all of our PFAM materials to understand how they perform on the printer in scenarios like overhang/underhang situations and torturous path profiles. We’ll also determine throughput capability and optimum print speeds/temperatures. As with any infant’s development, this process will take time and patience because we’re committed to a thorough assessment of each material’s interactions with the Juggerbot. 👀 Watch for the next milestone in our baby’s first year and 📞 contact SABIC to learn more. #SABIC #plastics #ChemistryThatMatters #plasticsengineering #plasticsindustry #chemicalindustry #SABICSpecialties #advancedmanufacturing

Take a seat. Pellet-fed #additivemanufacturing (#PFAM) is an excellent process for efficiently creating attractive, functional furniture with unique designs and #sustainable materials. #SABIC recently unveiled stylish, custom-colored chairs that were 3D printed using LNP™ ELCRIN™ 6F006IIQ PC/PBT compound, which is formulated with up to 23% recycled content by weight. This sustainable seating is just one aspect of SABIC’s support for #EarthDay on April 22. 🌍 The chairs will be placed in the lobby of the new corporate building in Jubail. #plastics #ChemistryThatMatters #plasticsengineering #plasticsindustry #chemicalindustry #SABICSpecialties #advancedmanufacturing

Fine print! At JEC World 2024 in Paris, Thermwood Corporation demonstrated the capabilities of its LSAM AP510 printer by using SABIC’s LNP™ THERMOCOMP™ AM EC004EXAR1 compound to 3D print a high-temperature autoclave tool. It marked the first time Thermwood has conducted a live printing demo at a European show. SABIC’s specialty materials experts were on hand to support Thermwood and talk with JEC World visitors about the properties of the LNP THERMOCOMP material, which is well-suited for pellet-fed #additive manufacturing (#PFAM). This flame-retardant ULTEM™ polyetherimide (PEI)-based compound is reinforced with 20% carbon fiber to provide a wider processing window and easier flow when printing large parts. We thank Thermwood for highlighting our high-performance material during their exhibition! #SABIC #plastics #ChemistryThatMatters #plasticsengineering #plasticsindustry #chemicalindustry #SABICSpecialties #advancedmanufacturing
