Missed our webinar on the Top 3 Factors Impacting the Useful Life of #medicaldevices? Good news! It’s now available on demand here: https://lnkd.in/d737VhsW 👏 Our experts explained how specialty thermoplastics can prevent or reduce degradation caused by repeated sterilizations. Our ULTEM™ HU resins are compatible with many different sterilization methods and multiple cycles. That’s especially important now that the EPA ruling limits EtO sterilization emissions. Check out the webinar recording and reach out to us to talk more. #plastics #SABIC #ChemistryThatMatters #plasticsengineering #plasticsindustry #chemicalindustry #SABICSpecialties #sustainable

Healthy curiosity. Medical device manufacturers continue to show strong interest in SABIC’s materials, as evidenced by their activity at NPE2024 this past May. Specifically, they wanted to learn more about chemically resistant solutions. A standing-room-only crowd turned out to hear Dr. Yuanqing (Emily) He’s talk on the exceptional chemical resistance of SABIC’s LNP™ ELCRES™ CRX PC copolymer resins. These specialty materials help prevent environmental stress cracking from exposure to harsh chemicals and disinfectants. The #SABIC exhibit also attracted plenty of attention. NPE visitors examined sterilization trays, surgical instruments, and a connected #medicaldevice housing and lens made with ULTEM™ resins and LNP™ compounds and copolymers. Let’s just say we had a healthy dose of productive customer interactions throughout the show. #plastics #ChemistryThatMatters #SABICSpecialties #healthcare

⭐ High-heat ULTEM™ resin meets ARBURG’s high-temp printer. At RAPID + TCT 2024, ARBURG will be showcasing its newest high-temperature, pellet-fed printer, the freeformer 750-3X HT. It’s able to produce complex, functional parts. ARBURG will demonstrate the machine’s impressive capabilities by printing samples using SABIC’s high-heat ULTEM 9085 resin. 👉🏼 Be sure to stop by ARBURG’s booth (2001), watch the demo and receive your printed sample. ULTEM 9085 resin is a flame-retardant polyetherimide (PEI) material with excellent physical and mechanical properties that can be used in demanding applications, including aerospace parts. Walt Thompson and David Voorde from #SABIC will be at the show and can answer questions related to our materials that are well suited for pellet-fed additive manufacturing (#PFAM). ⭐Contact them in advance to set up a meeting at the show. #plastics #ChemistryThatMatters #SABICSpecialties #advancedmanufacturing #additivemanufacturing #rapidtct
