You can't send stars to friends directly, but you can send them duplicate stickers that they can trade for stars

This article explains how to trade stars in Monopoly Go by sending stickers to friends. Given that there’s no way to directly send and receive stars within the Monopoly Go mobile game, this sticker strategy is the best and only way to unlock stars with friends.

The instructions on this page work with the Monopoly Go app on both Apple and Android devices.

How to Trade Stars in Monopoly Go

To send stars to Monopoly Go friends, you need to send them duplicate stickers from your collection. If you send them one that they already have, they receive a star, which they can then redeem for rewards.

Here are the steps for how to send extra stickers, which can unlock stars, to friends in Monopoly Go.

  1. Tap Album.

  2. Select a sticker collection to view its contents.

    This screen doesn’t show which collection has double stickers. You need to manually check each collection to see which one has stickers which you can send to friends.

  3. Select a sticker which has at least one double. Duplicates have a small white label on their lower-left side.

    A +1 label means that you have one extra sticker that you can send to a friend. +2 means that you have two extras, +3 means three extras, and so on. No label indicates that you only have the initial sticker for your own collection and don’t have any extras that you can send to friends.

  4. Tap Send To Friends.

  5. Select a friend from your Monopoly Go friends list.

    If you want to require your friend to also send you a sticker before they can receive the one you’re gifting them, tap the Make an exchange icon at the bottom of the screen.

  6. Tap Continue.

  7. Select Send to send the sticker to your friend.

  8. Tap Okay.

  9. Select the X at the bottom of the screen to exit the sticker menu and return to the Monopoly Go main gameplay screen.

How to Get Stars in Monopoly Go

In Monopoly Go, you get one star for every extra or double sticker that you have in your album. For example, when you get the Stage Dream sticker for the first time, it completes that entry in your sticker album. If you happen to get the Stage Dream sticker again in the future, this one’s classed as a double or extra.

If you have three extra stickers, you get three stars, which you can redeem for in-game prizes.

How to Get Stickers in Monopoly Go

Monopoly Go stickers are awarded randomly via sticker packs. Sticker packs usually contain between one and three stickers and are granted as rewards for completing special missions or events, reaching some milestones, and by playing the prize wheel mini-game. This can require a lot of dice rolls.

You can sometimes purchase sticker packs with real-world money in Monopoly Go via the Shop menu as part of add-on bundles. Sticker packs are primarily earned by playing the game though. You can also ask friends to send you individual stickers by following the steps at the top of this page.
