With fun, drama, and romance from the states of Punjab and Haryana, the movie ‘Kudi Haryane Val Di’ is all set to grace the big screens on June 14, 2024. Headlined by Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa, the movie is a cross-cultural love story with a sprinkle of comedy.
While exclusively talking about the movie to us, Ammy Virk mentioned what made him say yes to the script in an instant.
“We have been working on the popular demand for “something different,” and this film is the result of that innovation. It has 45% elements from Haryana and the remaining from Punjab. The star cast is so lavish, that there was no question of refusing such a script,” said Ammy Virk
It is not an everyday scene in Punjabi cinema that we see a cross-cultural film. Thus, when asked if the intention behind the movie was to broaden the audience circle and get the attention of Haryana, Sonam Bajwa said, “Honestly, in the beginning, that was not the aim.”

“But when we started watching our scenes while shooting, we realized that the Haryanvi element was emerging so well that even Yashpal Sharma, a National award-winning actor, who plays a character in the film commented that the state’s traditions have been etched so authentically that even Haryanvi viewers will relate to it,” she quoted.
Ammy also added his point of view on the matter, and said, “I think Haryanvi has the potential to emerge as one of the most formidable industries in the future. And eventually, both Haryanvi and Punjabi bloodlines are the same (smiles).”

Last but not least highlighting what makes the movie stand apart, Ammy Virk said, “We released the trailer in Mumbai because in our minds this is not a regional film, it is a pan-India film. Both languages, Haryanvi and Punjabi are not difficult to understand. The music of this film is already a hit and is its leading force.”
“Director Rakesh Dhawan and producers Pawan Gill, and Aman Gill have done a brilliant job and actors, Yograj Singh, Ajay Hooda, Yashpal Sharma, Hardeep Gill, and Honey Mattu have all elevated the script,” concluded the actor.
