'Kalki 2898 AD' box office collection day 3: Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer earns Rs 67 crore

The Telugu mythological science fiction was released in theatres on June 27. The film on day 1, made a massive opening with Rs 191 crore at the box office, and on day 2 the film dipped to Rs 107 crore and on Saturday the film merely grossed Rs 67 crore at the box office. The film at the worldwide box office has crossed Rs 300 crore and is now inching towards Rs 5oo crore.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles.
The music for the movie is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The film on its opening day received a lot of positive reviews and it was critically acclaimed. Though the film received major applauses and was lauded by multiple film stars and industry veterans, it has been declining in its collection as the film failed to hold on to the people's anticipation.

The movie had a huge expectation before its release and grossed about Rs 55 crore in presales and it also surpassed 'RRR' and 'Baahubali's collection in North America. The film made the third highest opening worldwide and is now slowly inching towards Rs 500 crore mark.
The film producer Ashwini Dutt confirmed the sequel of the film and revealed that the seconf part will have the plot focussed on Kamal Haasan and how he fights against Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas. The shooting for the second part of the film has been wrapped by 60% and only few crucial and major part of the shooting is left.
