Actor Vijay Deverakonda, who has erupted excitement and cheers among fans after his cameo role in Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD', expressed his delight at the movie's box office performance. The sci-fi film starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles, hit the big screens on June 27 to a roaring response.
Vijay Deverakonda took to his official X handle and shared a note where he thanked the makers of the film.
He additionally applauded the movie's spectacular opening. He wrote, "Nagiiiii (Nag Ashwin) Prabhas annaa @VyjayanthiFilms. I am so happy for all of you. You deserve all the love and success and power. Celebrating for you and God bless you. Respects to @SrBachchan sir, @deepikapadukone and @ikamalhaasan sir, #Kalki wouldn’t be the same without you. #Kalki2898AD will be remembered long after we are all gone @nagashwin7 (sic)."
Fans are praising Vijay's two-minute cameo role in the film. They claim that in his short time, he has captured the attention of the audience. Prabhas already disclosed Dulquer and Vijay's cameos in a live broadcast earlier.
The audience shared their reactions on X about Vijay’s cameo appearance. A netizen praised the 'Geetha Govindam' actor and wrote, "Vijay Deverakonda is BACK. The whistles are louder than ever. Superb surprise (sic)." Another fan commented, "Imma tell you again - Vijay Deverakonda is the future of Tollywood. I cannot get over his 2-minute cameo. Absolute fire on screen (sic)."

The highly awaited sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ actor Prabhas stunned fans by confirming the involvement of South Indian heartthrobs Dulquer Salmaan and Vijay Deverakonda in the movie during a recent Instagram live session with director Nag Ashwin.
Prabhas also expressed his sincere appreciation for both the actors and he acknowledged their contributions to the film. "Thanks to Dulquer, thanks to Vijay, they made our film bigger," he said.
'Kalki 2898 AD' also stars Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan in pivotal roles. The film also has starry cameo appearances of actors like Mrunal Thakur, SS Rajamouli, Dulquer Salmaan and Ram Gopal Varma.
