The sci-fi epic 'Kalki 2898 AD' continues its undisputed run at the Indian box office, earning an estimated Rs 220 crore nett over its first three days. Going by early box office reports, the film continued its momentum on its fourth day by adding another Rs 28.63 crore nett across all languages, in the first half of Sunday, positioning it to cross the Rs 500 mark at the worldwide box office this weekend.

According to Sacnilk.com, 'Kalki 2898 AD', starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in lead roles, made a significant Rs 95.3 crore nett collection on its opening day, Thursday, across all languages.
While there was a noticeable dip on Friday with earnings of Rs 57.6 crore nett, the film saw a resurgence on Saturday, collecting Rs 67 crore nett with the Telugu version proving to be particularly successful, contributing Rs 32 crore to the day's total.

Sunday's collections began with an estimated collection of Rs28.63 crore nett, reflecting a 76.77% occupancy rate for the Telugu version and 54.12% for the Hindi version. The Kannada dubbed version also drew audiences with a 37.63% occupancy rate for morning shows.
Internationally, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has garnered Rs 267.5 crore nett, pushing its worldwide gross to an estimated total of 487.5 crore. By the end of its first weekend, numbers are expected to cross the Rs 500 crore mark.


The film has also made significant inroads in North America, earning over $9.1 million, which positions it among the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films in the US and Canada. The Prabhas starrer 'Baahubali 2' currently holds the top spot with a total collection of $20.77 million.
The film faces stiff competition from Hollywood releases like 'A Quiet Place: One Day' and 'Inside Out 2', the latter of which is on track to surpass the $1 billion mark this week. Despite this, 'Kalki 2898 AD' remains on course to achieve record-breaking numbers and also stands a chance to benefit from the upcoming holidays in the US and Canada.
