Rajya Sabha MP, former chairperson of Infosys Foundation, author and philanthropist Sudha Murty is quite popular among people of all age groups. More recently, the Padma Bhushan awardee took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her views on men and women, and relationships. Talking about how both men and women are "wired differently", Sudha Murty also said that both are needed just like the "two wheels of a bicycle".

Sharing her views on gender equality, Sudha Murty said that both genders are different and they both have their pros and cons.
"What is equality? You should define first," Mrs Murty said in the video. She then added, "For example, both genders are different, there are both pluses and minuses in both genders. Life is like a cart or a bicycle, there are two wheels. One wheel is male gender, and the other wheel is female gender. You require both wheels to move ahead. You can't say 'I don't want another wheel at all'. "
Elaborating this further, Sudha Murty said, "But women are wired differently and men are wired differently, which I have experienced over such a long period. Women are normally very good at languages, they are excellent born managers, and they are very compassionate by and large. They are always giving-- they give love to their mother, father, brother, sister, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, children... Look at all these relationships. She is always a giver, compassionate and loving."

On the other hand, men are different. "Men are wired differently. Their emotional quotient is not like women's. They may have a good IQ (intelligence quotient) but definitely not a good EQ (emotional quotient)," Mrs Murty explained.
Many people agreed with Sudha Murty and responded to her tweet. One user said, "Very true. On the same page,” while another said, “True. Both face hardships in life. Without both, nature is incomplete”.
Sudha Murty often shares her views on relationships, parenting, and more. For the unversed, Sudha Murty is married to Infosys co-founder Narayan Murthy. They have two children-- daughter Akshata who is married to UK PM Rishi Sunak, and a son named Rohan has a tech firm on AI-powered technology.
