IG (ops) appointed as nodal officer for examinations
Ranchi: Director general of police Ajay Kumar Singh has appointed inspector general (operation) Amol Homkar as the nodal officer to conduct state and central level examinations. Homkar would look after security aspects at the examination centres while supervising law and order steps taken for the examinations by concerned district. The measure has been taken in view of the controversy arising out of various examinations in the state including National Eligibility and Entrance Test.

Notably, BJP has stated that the examination for appointment of post graduate teachers, held by Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, was not fair and has demanded a CBI inquiry in it. There were allegations of question paper leak in JPSC civil services preliminary examination held in March 2024 but later on it was found to be false. TNN
