When Amrita Singh gave sleeping pills to Saif Ali Khan without his knowledge, on Sooraj Barjatya's advice

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh were married for 13 years before they separated. They were divorced in 2004. Before that, Sooraj Barjatya had once shared some interesting anecdotes about them while he was shooting for 'Hum Saath Saath Hai'. This film starred Saif alongside Karisma Kapoor, Salman Khan, Sonali Bendre, Mohnish Bahl and Tabu. During an interview about 'HSSH', Barjatya had spoken about how Saif was not getting a shot right and had to give many retakes because he was not sleeping well at night.
Barjatya explained, "Saif Ali Khan's personal life had a lot of ups and downs during the shooting of 'Hum Saath Saath Hai'.So he was always under tension. There is an anecdote about the time of the song 'Suno ji Dulhan' in the film. Saif Ali Khan was taking many retakes during the shooting of this song. He was not sleeping all night, thinking about how to portray the character in a good way. I came to know this when I talked to his first wife."
Hence, the director advised Amrita Singh to give him sleeping pills. "A he was not sleeping through the night, I gave Amrita a piece of advice.
