ED raids trader for NRHM funds misappropriation

Dhanbad: Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the residential premises of coal trader and former National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) contractual employee Pramod Kumar Singh and his associates in a case related to a scam worth Rs 7 crore and disproportionate assets, on Thursday.
Though none of the officials of the raiding team were ready to say anything on record, sources said that raids were conducted at six places in Dhanbad till late Thursday evening.

ACB Dhanbad had registered an FIR against Pramod on June 8, 2016 for amassing huge wealth despite being a low salary employee.
Another FIR was registered against him on August 26, 2019 by ACB Ranchi for misappropriation of NRHM funds.
It is alleged that while working as an accountant on contractual basis under NRHM, Pramod was involved in embezzlement of crores of rupees.
