We recently welcomed stars Tony and Minnie Beets from the TV series "Gold Rush" to Volvo CE in Braås. Tony joined our Operations team on the factory floor and tried his hand at welding, assembling and test-driving. "If you look at the workforce, at the effort that's been put in down here, it is no wonder that they send out a quality machine". Watch the video to see what else Tony had to say:

Batteries power our business and are at the heart of everything we do. As the transition to electric power gains momentum, the volume of used batteries escalates accordingly. Used batteries still have valuable potential and through a circular approach, we can reuse and repurpose them. Once their initial lifecycle is complete, we ensure they’re responsibly recycled, and preparing them to contribute once more. #VolvoCE #technology #SustainableConstruction #SustainableEnergy #BuildingTomorrow

We would like to thank the 170 participants joining our #MovetoZero event in Eskilstuna, Sweden. Coming together from across the construction value chain, these change-makers tackled critical questions on how to remove barriers to zero-emission construction worksites, address urgent competence gaps, and introduce effective policies such as a price on carbon. Melker Jernberg , Head of Volvo CE, emphasized the need and urgency for collective action across all parts of the value chain: "The transformation is not happening at the speed required by global warming. No single company, country, or organization can accomplish this alone, but by driving change together on all fronts, we can make things happen." Special thanks to our inspiring frontrunner speakers sharing learnings from zero-emission projects and industry initiatives: Frida Nordström, Head of Environment, Stockholm City Development Department, Fredrik Gustafsson, Head of Smart Charging Infrastructure, Ellevio, Tobias Stöcker, Sustainability Manager, ENI (Emissieloos Netwerk Infra (ENI)), and Jorgen Olsson, President & CEO Viscaria. Feeling inspired by our co-workers at the Braås site in Sweden! They made the most of a sunny summer afternoon by organizing an after work event with a moped and bicycle rally theme. ☀️🚲 The rally included a fun quiz along the route, hot dogs, and opportunities to test out the 21 mopeds and 10 bikes participating. The evening ended with a delightful surprise – a visit from our vintage Volvo DR 860 articulated hauler. We are wishing everyone a fantastic summer in the Northern Hemisphere! #VolvoCE #wearevolvoce

🌍 Join the Movement for a Better Future! 🌍 The city of Helsinki is leading the way in sustainable construction by aiming for carbon neutrality by 2030. We're excited to announce a major breakthrough in this journey – municipalities across Europe can now demand mid-sized electric construction machines in their procurements! 🚜🔋 Our latest project at the Itäbaana construction site proves that it’s possible to meet rigorous low-emission requirements using electric excavators. This isn't just about innovation; it's about our collective responsibility to tackle climate change. At Volvo CE, we’re committed to bringing the solutions, but it's only by working together that we can make sustainable construction the new normal and address the climate challenge effectively. We encourage all municipalities to join us in this transformation. The technology is here, the benefits are clear, and together, we can make a real difference. Let’s pave the way for a sustainable future, one electric machine at a time. 🔋🌍 Let's build a better tomorrow, today! 🌍🔋 #SustainableConstruction #GreenDeal #ElectricExcavators #VolvoCE Tieluiska Oy Helsingin kaupunki – Helsingfors stad – City of Helsinki #VolvoCEFinland Motiva – valtion kestävän kehityksen yhtiö #CarbonNeutral #MunicipalLeadership
