IAV Japan had the exciting opportunity to participate in the #AHK_Japan_Talent_Challenge🏆 and collaborate with students from Meiji University to develop a marketing campaign for our software product Swarm IQ 📊💡.    Over the past 2 months, the students have been conducting research and interviewing key stakeholders in the Japanese logistics industry to develop a marketing campaign for #Swarm_IQ 🚀.    Today, they presented their solution for the case study. A big shout-out 👏 to the students for their innovative ideas, and thanks to German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (AHK Japan) for providing the platform to make this inspiring, cross-cultural experience possible!    The #AHK_Talent_Challenge aims to build a bridge between German companies and Japanese talent, foster networks between students, companies and universities, and promote cross-border innovation and collaboration🌐🤝. 

🎉An iconic classic is reborn. 🚗 The Horch 14-17 PS Tonneau, first built 120 years ago, has been faithfully recreated and is now proudly housed at the August Horch Museum in Zwickau. ✨IAV had the great honor of designing and manufacturing the gearbox for this complex project. This marvel, with its wooden coachwork body and parts crafted from sheet metal, showcases an era of diligent craftsmanship. 🛠️With leather seats for five, a right-handed steering wheel, and two levers for hand throttle and three-speed gear, it can still roar up to its cataloged top speed of over 60 km/h. 🌬️ This model was the bedrock of Zwickau’s automotive tradition, with just about 50 replicas produced, and none to be found today. Determined to revive a piece of this legacy, the August Horch Museum of Zwickau committed to meticulously rebuilding this masterpiece. 📜 Working from one historic photo, a 1904/05 catalog, a few construction sketches, and an original dismantled engine, the car was resurrected over twelve determined years. 🏗️ It made its triumphant return on Wednesday as the heart of the museum, impressing the nearly 200 awe-struck guests present. 🎈 “This has been a true labor of love,” says Michael Barth from IAV in Chemnitz/Stollberg, who worked together with Andreas Schild on the gearbox. “We’re incredibly proud to have contributed our bit to this amazing project.” ❤️ Join us, as we celebrate a time-traveled journey of rekindled flame, now on display at the August Horch Museum in Zwickau. 🔥 Thanks for the beautiful pictures to August Horch Museum Zwickau GmbH! #AutomotiveHistory #ClassicCarRenovation #ProudMoment 🕰️🔧

Embarking on a new life, Priyanka Arora, a dynamic and determined 32-year-old employee at IAV, is once again embracing change. 🛄 She's packing her bags, bidding farewell to 🇩🇪Germany, and preparing for an exciting new chapter in the 🇺🇸USA. Priyanka is transitioning from the GmbH to our American subsidiary, IAV Automotive Engineering, Inc., where she will be spearheading autonomous driving (#ADAS) initiatives in the heart of innovation - #SiliconValley. 💡🚗 Change isn't new to Priyanka. When she first moved from India to Germany, she could only say 'hello' and 'thank you' in German. Yet, she navigated her way to an internship at IAV that evolved into a rewarding career spanning almost eight years.🌱 In 2020, driven by strong belief in personal growth and fueled by curiosity, she explored IAV's international subsidiaries. It led her to Holger Gentgen, Managing Director of IAV Inc. At that time, IAV was mainly focused on powertrain and primarily based in Michigan. However, fast forward to 2024, we're now also tackling ADAS topics right in California! 🌴🔬 The innovative atmosphere of Silicon Valley presented an irresistible professional opportunity. Priyanka isn’t just leaving as an expat; she’s making a formal transition from IAV GmbH to IAV Inc. Her goal? To aid IAV’s growth in Silicon Valley and to continue contributing to innovation and technological progress. 🎯💼 In April, she was already there for three weeks on business (s. picture gallery). Priyanka's American adventure is set to begin this July. With notice given on her apartment in Chemnitz and preparations for the move underway, there's much to be done. From terminating contracts in Germany to handling administrative formalities, it's all systems go. As she says, “I came here with three suitcases and nine years later I leave with three suitcases and abundant memories.” 👜💖 Is the USA the end of her ongoing journey? While many are still talking about #carbonneutral mobility for #trucks, we make it happen! As a development partner of DEUTZ AG, IAV has successfully integrated a 7.8-litre hydrogen engine into an 18-ton medium-duty truck. Part of the #HyCET (Hydrogen Combustion Engine Trucks) research project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport, the timing for this couldn’t be better! Trucks powered by #hydrogencombustionengines directly help OEMs to lower their #CO2 fleet targets after the EU classified such carriers as “zero emission vehicles”. 💧💨 IAV GmbH has taken charge of the #systemsengineering and carried out for DEUTZ the selection and #integration of all hydrogen components, the interconnection of all systems via a gateway control unit as well as a prototype safety concept – finally providing an entire hydrogen #vehicleconcept ready for road-use. 💡 The first test drive has been completed flawlessly and shows that hydrogen combustion engines can play a sensible role in #decarbonizing road #freighttransport and #logistics. 🌍🚚 Besides the integration work, IAV has supported DEUTZ by taking over a part of the calibration work at the hydrogen-engine #testbenches at our #development center in Gifhorn. 👉 Do you have similar technical needs or are you curious for more detail about the HyCET project?
