Clue is a period tracking app that has reproductive health down to a science.

Info

Clue is the #1 doctor-recommended period & cycle tracking app available on iOS, Android, and Apple Watch. Across the globe, more than 10 million active users rely on Clue to help understand their bodies better and keep their data safe and private. Clue’s mission is for women and people with cycles to make good choices for themselves, and live full lives not in spite of their biology, but in tune with it. Clue was founded in 2012 by a Danish female entrepreneur, Ida Tin, who is convinced that technology will profoundly change the future of family planning. The app calculates and predicts users’ periods and PMS based on users’ data and calculates fertility windows based on global averages, which can be made more accurate by users’ entering ovulation test data. Their newest offering, Clue Plus, aims to make Clue accessible to as many people as possible around the world at only one euro (or the local currency equivalent) per month. Clue Plus offers enhanced Analysis and personalized predictions for cycle-related symptoms with Forecast. Clue launched helloclue.com in February 2018 to help close the knowledge gap about the menstrual cycle—with information that’s accessible, serious, scientific, and empathetic. Numerous major media have greatly praised Clue, including TechCrunch (“Clue is the most underrated app ever”), BuzzFeed, Wired (“Hottest Startups 2015”), Cosmopolitan (“We love Clue”) and The Huffington Post (“Awesome”). The Berlin-based startup has the backing of prestigious investors such Union Square Ventures; Mosaic Ventures; Groupe Arnault, the controlling shareholder of LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton; Brigitte Mohn of Bertelsmann; and entrepreneurs from Spotify, SoundCloud and Dropbox.

Why I LOVE Clue ❤️ 1. As one of the early users (almost 8+ years), I first felt aware of my cycle, needs, and symptoms. I felt empowered and educated. 💪 2. User-centered - Did everything work seamlessly from the beginning? NO - but they worked very hard to keep improving. Today, I feel their promise in the experience of using the app. 📱✨ 3. One of the founders, Ida Tin, didn't just empower and de-taboo our health topics 💪🩸 She's been a trailblazer, addressing challenges faced by women entrepreneurs and inspiring a new generation of female founders well beyond FemTech 🚀👩💼 3. Approachable - Now, here I have to share the story of how this podcast came to be… At MDX by MetaDesign , we have been passionate about digital healthcare for a while. We also built a #DTX focusing on solutions for female health problems directly. This led us to visit betahaus special #betabreakfast event on the topic of #FemTech, where Rhiannon White was a panelist with other leaders of the FemTech revolution. As a diligent networker, I reached out to her, asking if she would be up to talk about Clue and her product development journey, and courageously she said yes! 🎙️ The result: A series of insightful, revealing, and connecting conversations and one idea to press record and start our podcast. 🎧 Listen to our first podcast and subscribe to catch the next one —>

Charting FemTech's growth with Audrey Tsang, CEO of Clue, at #VivaTech 🌎 "There is an immense gender health gap, and behind that is a gender data gap. A McKinsey & Company report recently found that women spend 25% more of their lifetime in poor health than men, largely because pathologies are undiagnosed or underdiagnosed. If we aim to close this gap, we need to add a trillion dollars to the global economy by 2030.” The key question is: How can we harness #FemTech innovations to address these disparities and effectively foster meaningful change? 🩺

Today is the second anniversary of the Dobbs ruling by the United States Supreme Court which overturned Roe v. Wade. As the landscape for reproductive rights continues to change, and politics too often overshadow science and medicine, our commitment to the Clue community remains unwavering: No matter where you are, we will *never* allow your private health data to be used against you. If you've been anywhere on the internet in the last few years you’ll probably be familiar with the idea of ‘pinkwashing’ - especially during Pride month. Companies that otherwise don’t actively support LGBTQIA+ rights and inclusion suddenly add the pride flag to their logo or website and put out superficial messages of support. At Clue, one of our core values is and always has been inclusivity–both in our app and in our workplace. So we will not be changing our logo but we will keep making sure that *everyone* with a cycle has access to menstrual and reproductive health support and tools that are free from misinformation, shame, and judgment. Explore our freely available LGBTQIA+ content in the Clue Encyclopedia here: https://lnkd.in/eyBMxxi5
