LoadRunner offers multi-protocol support for testing applications across various platforms and devices. It provides options for cloud-based testing through integration with Amazon and HP cloud services, as well as SaaS options. When choosing a load testing solution, factors to consider include the application under test, protocols, user numbers, locations, budgets, and timescales. LoadRunner in the Cloud is suitable for web-based testing with remote load generation and flexible licensing.
The speaker will discuss disaster recovery and Azure Site Recovery. They will cover why disaster recovery matters, an overview of disaster recovery solutions, an in-depth look at Azure Site Recovery for complex workloads, and include demonstrations and a question and answer session. The speaker is a Microsoft Cloud Solution Architect who will guide attendees on how to use Azure Site Recovery to replicate workloads between on-premises and Azure.
Continuous delivery may be a natural for greenfield workloads, but how do you take an existing seven-year-old SaaS application and move from multi-month to weekly release cycles? Find out how our team — developers, QA, and ops — worked together to change our process and along the way changed their own ideas of what was possible.
We just finished a 7 week project at RightScale to migrate 48 services and 650+ cloud instances to Docker. As a result we’ve been able to accelerate our development processes and cut our cloud costs (a lot). Here we share lessons learned about our experience migrating to Docker and introduce our new Container Manager we added to the RightScale platform to help manage containerized environments.
This document discusses cloud-native application development. It describes how DevOps practices like continuous delivery and microservices allow for faster, higher quality software development. It introduces a cloud native maturity model and discusses how a platform with the right abstractions can help organizations adopt cloud native patterns. The document outlines Pivotal's platform capabilities and services and how they can help organizations transform applications to be cloud native and achieve outcomes like speed, stability, scalability and security. Real-world examples of organizations adopting cloud native practices are also provided.
The document provides an overview of a company called SOASTA and their cloud testing solution. It discusses SOASTA being the first cloud testing company established in 2007 and how their cloudtest solution allows customers to perform load and performance testing in the cloud in a fast, affordable and scalable way. Key features of cloudtest mentioned are on-demand test provisioning, real-time analytics dashboards, and full test reports.

Kafka can be used to build real-time streaming applications and process large amounts of data. It provides a simple publish-subscribe messaging model with streams of records. Kafka Connect allows connecting Kafka with other data systems and formats through reusable connectors. Kafka Streams provides a streaming library to allow building streaming applications and processing data in Kafka streams through operators like map, filter and windowing.
We are now witnessing a new wave of IT revolution and its effect is very similar to the Cloud and Virtualization revolutions that started in the last decade. This new wave, called Containerization, is related to technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, which now fuel large scale solutions including Big Data and IoT. Learn about: - Typical DevOps challenges and modern solutions - Using Docker as Amazon EC2 Container Service Evolution of Enterprise Architecture (Containers, IoT, Machine Learning and technologies of tomorrow) - Business value of using advances DevOps technologies with real-life case study
This document outlines an agenda for a talk on automating infrastructure and security scans using Cloudflare and other tools. It discusses: 1. The goals of automation like reducing administration tasks, improving inventory and scaling/deployment. 2. A overview of configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, SaltStack and Ansible comparing their architectures, licensing, and support for containers and clouds. 3. Security principles for content delivery networks like Cloudflare focusing on hiding real server IPs. 4. The planned rollout of the Cloudflare recon tool including preparations, building virtual infrastructure, software requirements, and performing/collecting scan results.
