Flexibility is identified as a crucial factor, both at work and away from work in the healthcare industry, with 87% of workers wanting flexibility. Employees highlight time off as a key strategy to alleviate burnout, yet half of patient care/clinician workers find paid time off inadequate for supporting mental health. Time-based flexibility, including adjusting start/end times, shift selection, and compressed/part-time schedules, is highly desired. Employees with such flexibility show a strong correlation with commitment to their employers.
