🎉 Exciting update from the pilot Protein Engineering Tournament! 🏆 We are thrilled to share the results from Align to Innovate’s pilot Protein Engineering Tournament. Our first tournament - themed Enzyme Design - challenged participants to use protein function datasets to progress from predicting properties to designing proteins. The teams’ designs were expressed and characterized using high-throughput automation, with the overall Tournament winner chosen by experimentation! 🔬 Highlights can found on our pilot Tournament webpage: https://lnkd.in/ecF-rQAJ On the webpage you can find: -Donated datasets and their challenge problems -Detailed results for each event from the in silico and in vitro rounds -Leaderboards, event difficulties, and the overall Tournament Champion! -Links to our GitHub for access to all tournament data, submissions, analysis scripts, and team abstracts. 🧑💻Want to learn more? We are holding a community-wide webinar with the teams where we will discuss the insights they gained and have a live Q&A. Make sure to check-out their abstracts on our GitHub, and sign-up here to join the call on July 16, 2024 at 5:00PM (GMT+2:00 - Paris): https://lnkd.in/eGks6rzf 🏆Become a participant! The first official Protein Engineering Tournament will be held in 2025.
