Client Controller/CFO - Remote | WFH

Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for making a difference in the not-for-profit sector? We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Client Controller/CFO to join our dedicated team. In this pivotal role, you'll have the opportunity to shape the financial future of multiple not-for-profit organizations, working remotely to provide strategic guidance and support.

• What You'll Do:
• Be the financial backbone for several large and complex not-for-profit clients, serving as their primary point of contact.
• Craft accurate, timely financial statements that tell a story. You'll coach and counsel stakeholders and operations managers, helping them boost margins and positively impact their bottom line.
• Champion the budget process, incorporating regular analytics to keep your clients on track.
• Tackle intricate financial challenges head-on. You'll work closely with clients to navigate complex financial situations, monitor finances, and offer expert analysis and advice.
• Share your wealth of knowledge to elevate client operations. You'll collaborate with our internal teams to provide comprehensive financial consultations.
• Inspire and lead cross-functional teams, aligning their efforts with client delivery processes.
• Ensure client satisfaction by promptly addressing and resolving any concerns or issues.
• Represent your clients at Board and executive-level meetings when requested.
• Mentor, train, and develop your direct reports, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
• What You'll Bring:
• Must-Haves:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business with an accounting/finance focus (or equivalent experience)
• Exceptional ability to juggle priorities and functions
• Outstanding interpersonal skills to build strong relationships
• Advanced proficiency in industry-specific accounting software and Excel
• 10+ years of experience in the not-for-profit sector
• 12+ years of experience as a Controller or CFO
• Business acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives
• Nice-to-Haves:
• Master's Degree, CPA certification
• Experience managing and developing people
• Proven track record in creating efficient processes and establishing an operational Center of Excellence

• Experience in a consulting or business process outsourcing (BPO) environment
