Three opponents John Cena could face leading up to his retirement at wrestlemania 41.
John Cena shocked the world last night when he announced he was going to retire at Wrestlemania 41 next year. All the memories of The Champ came down rolling through fans' eyes when they heard this announcement as Cena has been the top favourite face of the company for the last two decades. ‘The Royal Rumble will be my last. The Elimination Chamber will be my last, and I'm here to announce that in Las Vegas, Wrestlemania 41 will be the last Wrestlemania I compete in’ he was quoted as saying.
Now this announcement has surely made the fans emotional, but the fact that he’ll be competing in all the above-mentioned PLE’s consecutively also filled the fans’ heart with anticipation and joy. The fans always eagerly wait for Cena to make that one sporadic appearance like he made at Wrestlemania XL to save Cody from The Bloodline. Notably Cena has only been working part time for the last five years in WWE. It will be very interesting to see whether he goes after a record 17th Championship or not.

The fans have long yearned to see this duo main eventing the biggest spectacle of wrestling which unfortunately has not materialised yet. 2 CM Punk -

Who can forget the epic rivalry between the Second City Saint and the Cenation Leader that enthralled the fans throughout 2011,12 and 13. Be it the epic Money in the Bank class in 2011 or the following match at SummerSlam with HHH as guest referee, the fans have always gone gaga over this rivalry. Right after Cena’s press conference , Punk too had a say on this topic and acknowledged Cena as his best rival. Reigniting this rivalry would be one epic send off for John Cena.

3 Cody Rhodes-

Widely considered as the ‘John Cena’ of the HHH era, The American Nightmare has followed the footsteps of Cena and has become the absolute favourite of the fans across the globe. The gigantic victory he tasted against Roman Reigns for the WWE championship, which had Cena’s contribution too as Cena stormed into the ring to nullify Solo Sikoa, has ascended Cody’s status as one of the most prolific performers and most loved stars in the world of wrestling. If Cena clashes with him (as he mentioned he may go after another title) for the WWE championship, it will be an epic and historic match up.
