'Team Melodi': Italy's Meloni shares video with PM Modi
NEW DELHI: Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Saturday shared a video with PM Modi on X with caption 'Hi friends, from #Melodi' recorded during the G7 Summit held in Italy's Apulia.

"Hello from the Melodi team," said Meloni as both leaders were seen laughing in the short clip.
Prime Minister Modi also later replied to Meloni's post on X and wrote "Long live India-Italy friendship!"

Earlier, in December last year, Meloni and Modi's selfie shared by Italian PM with the caption 'Good friends at COP28' with #Melodi during COP28 summit in Dubai went viral on X garnering 47 million views.

PM Modi representing India as an outreach nation was received by the Italian PM at the 50th G7 Summit on Friday with a namaste as they both exchanged pleasantries.
PM Modi is on his first official visit to Italy after he took oath for the third time on June 9. He while addressing an outreach session on Artificial Intelligence during the summit called to end the monopoly on
technology and said that its benefits should reach all sections of society.
“This should not just be our desire, but our responsibility,” he said.
PM further said that for technology to be successful, it has to be underpinned by a human-centric approach. “We must make technology creative, not destructive. Only then will we be able to lay the foundation of an inclusive society,’’ said Modi.
He also advocated for the well-being of the Global South and highlighted the importance of Africa in global affairs. He said India has considered it its responsibility to put priorities and concerns of countries of the Global South on the world stage.
Meanwhile, he also underlined India's resolve to foster close ties with Africa and cited the landmark moment when the African Union became a permanent member of the G20 during India's presidency.
Additionally, PM Modi held bilateral talk with French President Macron, British PM Sunak, Ukraine's President Zelenskyy, and Japan's PM Fumio Kishida on the sidelines of the G7 Summit.
He also had a brief conversation with Canadian PM Justin Trudeau amid strained bilateral ties over the case relating to the killing of Khalistani extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
