NMMSS 2024-25: The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has announced the commencement of applications for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) for the academic year 2024-25. This scholarship program aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections pursuing studies in Class 9 at government, government-aided, and local body schools in India.
NMMSS 2024-25: Eligibility Criteria
• Students must be studying in Class 8 and secured at least 55% marks in the previous year's exams (50% for SC/ST students).
• Belong to families with an annual income of up to Rs. 6 lakh (as per the latest income tax return or certificate from the competent authority).
• Only students enrolled in regular courses are eligible.
One-Time Registration (OTR) for New Applicants
The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) has implemented a simplified process called One-Time Registration (OTR). New applicants need to register on the NSP portal (https://scholarships.gov.in/) using their Aadhaar number or Aadhaar Enrolment ID (EID). This generates a unique 14-digit OTR number, which acts as a permanent reference for future scholarship applications on the NSP.

• Existing users can directly log in to the NSP portal using their login credentials.
• New users must register using the OTR process.
• After successful registration, students can find the NMMSS 2024-25 application form under the "Fresh Scholarship" section.
• Carefully fill out the application form, ensuring all details are accurate and complete.
• Upload scanned copies of necessary documents, including mark sheets, income certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and Aadhaar card.
• Submit the application form electronically before the deadline.
