Jakhar says CM’s attitude is callous
Chandigarh: Raising questions over what he termed as abysmal law and order in Punjab, state BJP president Sunil Jakhar on Saturday said chief minister Bhagwant Mann’s attitude towards governance was callous, and making Punjab bleed with violence and hate crimes.
“CM is camping in Jalandhar for a bypoll while criminals run amok with impunity and can take anyone's life at will,” said Jakhar after visiting injured Shiv Sena leader Sandeep Thapar at district hospital in Ludhiana.

Demanding swift action for the attack on Thapar on Friday, Jakhar said the pattern emerging in these types of crimes in Punjab in the last few months demanded urgent attention. “First, it was the fatal attack on Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri in Amritsar, then the fatal attack on Prabhakar in Nangal, and now this,” he added
The state BJP leader said no one is safe in Punjab, except CM’s family which travels with a posse of security men at cost of public exchequer. Jakhar also highlighted the prevailing sentiment amongst businessmen in state who lived in fear of gangsters each day. TNN
