12 lose 90L to immigraton fraud
Chandigarh: UT police booked owners and employees of a Sector 35-based immigration firm for allegedly duping 12 persons of around Rs 90 lakh on the pretext of sending them abroad. However, neither were the complainants sent abroad, nor their money refunded. Sector 36 police registered a case. Bhupender Kumar, a resident of Sonipat, Haryana and 10 others alleged that Kuldeep Singh Kada alias Kulvir Singh and others of Vast Immigration Consultant, Sector 35, UT cheated them of around Rs 90 lakh on the pretext of providing work and study visas of different countries.
The complainants made both online and offline payments to the accused. However, after taking the money, the firm dithered in providing the visas. tnn
