City records 18.8mm rainfall in morning
Chandigarh: After a humid day, heavy rainfall was witnessed for around two hours in some parts of the city on Saturday morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) department said the city recorded 18.8 mm of rainfall, giving residents the much-needed relief from the hot and humid weather. IMD issued a forecast of partly cloudy sky with likely rainfall in the coming days.

IMD officials said the maximum temperature recorded in the city was 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 26.3 degrees Celsius. On Friday, it was a cloudy sky. IMD recorded humidity at 89 per cent.
