On his Victory Tour, Capitol Couture describes him as having a bright and optimistic ensemble that contrasted his unkempt persona he cultivated during his Games. Furthermore, he was widely popular in the Capitol; they reportedly sang his praises and labelled him as a figure of reconciliation of the people due to his patriotic manner.[1]

Although unknown how he died, Augustus was dead by the end of the Second Rebellion, as he was absent for the vote on a final 76th Hunger Games. He was likely a victim of the Victors' Purge.[2]
