I have a Debian Stretch 9.3 x64 bits OS:

Today when I returned from work I woke up my computer (I usually put the PC at sleep when I'm not using it for many hours) but then 20 minutes later (16:21 GMT +2) it restarted unexpectedly without me commanding it to do so. While I was trying to track down the issue I ran these commands to get a clue about what really happened:
less /var/log/syslog
less /var/log/kern.log
less /var/log/messages
all three log files right before reboot takes place, show an entry of multiple
^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@
symbols.
