“Whoever builds a bridge to someone else can always go back and forth." - Jana Beranová, a Dutch poet. This philosophy guides Goboony and Yescapa as we merge into one team. During our recent day together in Moliets Et Maa, we embraced this approach fully. We acknowledged our differences and celebrated our commonalities. Mark de Vos and Sergio Branco shared the origins of Goboony and Yescapa, and how we're combining forces to become the leading campervan rental company in Europe. It was enlightening to recognise our occasional miscommunications and to see how our diverse team (spanning 20 nationalities) can turn challenges into learnings and new experiences 🚀 Afterwards, we enjoyed lunch together and spent the rest of the day bonding and getting to know each other better. Working remotely, it was wonderful to reconnect with 200 colleagues in person! We ended the day with a paella night and a beach party with Jan Kranendonk and François Avice at the console. The atmosphere was great! 🪐 Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this amazing day. Your efforts make each one of us feel valued and integral to our organisation. How do you know how to improve your customer’s experience? You go out and do exactly what they do! 🗺️ That’s what our product team recently accomplished. They touched down in Rotterdam, met some of the owners on the Goboony platform and hit the road in campervans - some of them for the first time! The Bluetooth speakers were particularly useful for their much-loved 80’s road trip playlist 🎶 After settling into Blue Woods Campsite the work (and fun) began. The next couple of days included plenty of brainstorming and re-aligning on future projects. After a day of hard collaboration, it was of course mandatory to jump in the sauna and sit around the campfire. After a day trip sampling all the local Bossche bollen (a type of Dutch profiterole 😉), they returned to a flat battery on one of the campervans. Thankfully, the Goboony support team and roadside assistance were there to help - was this the camping spirits just making sure our team experienced all the highs and lows? Perhaps! 👀 Needless to say, they loved the experience and getting to spend time together as a team. There was plenty to reflect on and even further learnings to pinpoint where Goboony can further help travellers and owners get the best campervan-sharing experience possible 🚐 #productteam #remotework

As a content marketer, Maayke Thompson spends hours on end scoping out exciting road trip itineraries and beautiful camping spots for readers of the Goboony blog. This spring, she spent a month working from the Highlands, where a Scottish sun streak didn’t fail to deliver stunning office views. Maayke moves her office wherever her interest takes her, all the while saving an endless amount of pins to her Google Maps. “I love that at Goboony we practise what we preach. We don’t just advocate an adventurous, outdoor lifestyle, we go out and live that life ourselves. Being able to work in an ever-changing setting truly does wonders for my creativity in a way that staring at the same wall every day never could." At Goboony we work in freedom, to share the freedom. Meet Emma Müskens, our stellar Team Lead for CRM Marketing at Goboony! 🌟 She's your go-to guru for all things customer-related. Plus, did you know? Emma's a van owner herself, so she knows firsthand the joy of hitting the road and exploring new horizons! 🚐 What’s your name and where do you live? 📍 Hi, my name is Emma and I live in the Netherlands in Zeist. What’s your job position at Goboony? Can you briefly describe what you do? 🚐 I work as Team Lead CRM Marketing at Goboony. My team ensures that our customers receive the right communication at the right time in their customer journey. Our communication channels include emails, SMS messages, WhatsApp messages, in-app messages and push notifications. We create omni channel campaigns by combining all the communication channels to ensure the best unified customer experience. What do you like most about working for Goboony? 🥰  Ohhh there are so many things! I love that Goboony allows everyone to experience freedom in its broadest sense. Not only freedom with regard to working remotely and your amount of days off, but also freedom in expressing new ideas, the way you work and learning new things. Combining this sense of freedom with a work environment requires a lot of responsibility, resulting in a very unique team of hardworking, but still equally relaxed and approachable people. Even though we all work remotely, we still have a good personal connection with each other. I love being part of such a nice international team and always look forward to seeing where everyone is travelling to next. How do you spend your free time? 🥧 I enjoy working on and taking trips with Keet: my 1979 Volkswagen LT35 van, which my boyfriend and I converted ourselves. I also love riding my motorbike, cuddling with my two adorable kitties and having dinner with friends. Which country is on your 2024 travel wish list? ✨ I would love to go to Japan and it's on my travel wish list for 2025. But this year I’m staying a bit closer to home, as I plan to visit beautiful Greece soon.
