Wishing I could take credit for the original post, but this gave me a good chuckle when I saw it over the weekend! It’s funny because it’s true. But… good agents (recruiters) were involved. It was a desirable job that paid well (and *gasp*, it wasn’t fully remote). It proves the value of a strong network. And so much more! If your position is unfilled at 90+ days, it’s likely you need to have a look in the mirror. 😉

Hiring sites specific to the tech industry and remote work eg We Work Remotely, Remote.co, and Wellfound. 2. Facebook groups for remote tech sales jobs. 🌟 Seeking Remote Sales Development Representative Role 🌟 Hey LinkedIn! I hope you're all having a fantastic day! I wanted to share a little bit about my journey and my passion for sales and technology. Over the years, I've developed a deep love for sales. The thrill of building relationships, the art of persuasion, and the satisfaction of closing deals have always fueled my drive. But what truly sets my heart on fire is the intersection of sales and technology. I've been on a quest to find the perfect tech sales position, one that allows me to leverage my sales expertise while embracing the transformative power of technology. However, it hasn't been an easy journey. The highly competitive market and limited remote opportunities have presented their fair share of challenges. But let me tell you, my determination is unwavering. I firmly believe in the power of remote work to drive productivity, foster collaboration, and unlock new possibilities. The ability to work from anywhere has the potential to revolutionize the way we approach sales and engage with clients. So here I am, reaching out with a spark of hope. If you know of any exciting remote sales development representative roles that align with my passion for sales, my obsession with technology, and my thirst for continuous growth, I would be incredibly grateful for any leads or connections you can provide. #SalesDevelopment #TechSales #RemoteWorkOpportunities #PassionForSales #LoveForTechnology #SalesAndTech #Determination #LinkedInCommunity

Finding a fully remote SDR role Is proving rather difficult... I expected for this to be hard, but I didn't know just how hard until recently. I only have the ability to work remote. I don't live In a large metropolitan area, and I don't have the means to just relocate to one. So even Hybrid isn't an option for me. However, with this being said I wont let this discourage me. I'll keep applying to what I can find. I'll keep reaching out to people within the companies. I will stay optimistic and consistent. I learn well, I learn fast, and I can adapt. So I know I can become a great SDR and move up to an Account executive. I just need the chance to show It! Tips on where to find fully remote jobs and tips on how to land Interviews would be greatly appreciated.

Issues I have found while job hunting and applying for roles 1) Missing salary details! Competitive is not a number, put a bracket at least 2) Fully remote, but must be within x miles of our HQ. Not fully remote is it.... 3) Ghosting applications- Not acceptable or professional behaviour 4) Advertising jobs which don't exist (We have a candidate we want, but had to advertise externally!) Just wastes everyones time 5) Job title doesn't match description - Sales is not Customer Service! Rant over. For now...

The Remote Sales Pro | Using commission-only sales to live life on my terms | Sharing insights and learnings so you can too. Subscribe link just below.
This is a conversation I've had a number of times in the past couple of weeks. More than usual. I'm getting messages from people who are looking to transition into commission-only remote sales. They have families, kids, steady jobs. Some people are telling them that they won't be successful if the don't "burn the boats" or "quit and go all in". If someone is telling you that, they either have no idea what this industry is like, or they're trying to sell you something. If you are young, single, or have no financial commitments, sure, burn them. Go all in. If you have a family that depends on you, don't. Find a solid part time gig (which can take months). Learn how it all works. Replace your income or at least enough to cover your costs. Figure out if that offer can take you on for more hours, or find another offer to work with as well. Then, and only then, should you leave your secure job.
