For other uses, see Rabin.

The USS Rabin (NCC-63293) was a 24th century Federation starship, an Akira-class heavy cruiser in Starfleet service from the 2370s decade. (Decipher RPG module: Starships)

Service history and disposition[]

USS Akula

The USS Rabin in the 2280s.

In the 23rd century, the name Rabin was carried by the Akula-class war destroyer USS Rabin. As part of the Starfleet Special Task Force, the Rabin saw action between several factions in the 2280s. (ST video game: Starfleet Command)

USS Jupiter akira shot

The Akira-class in 2376.

The new Rabin had entered service in the 2370s. The Akira-class Rabin discovered a micro-wormhole at Technis IV. Leaving that wormhole and the planet behind, the Rabin went on to map the Bellis Expanse. (Decipher RPG module: Starships)

In the 25th century, Starfleet categorised Akira-class starships as tier 4 heavy escorts. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Rabin at the anomaly

The Rabin in 2401.

In the year 2401, the USS Stargazer investigated a spatial anomaly discovered by the USS Avalon. When a massive Borg ship emerged from the anomaly, the Rabin was part of the armada Starfleet built up to reinforce the Stargazer and Admiral Jean-Luc Picard. When the Borg Queen boarded the Stargazer, the Borg Collective attempted to seize control of the fleet. Picard self destructed the Stargazer to stop the Borg and save the armada. (PIC episode: "The Star Gazer")
