Lieutenant Commander Caitlin Barry was a 23rd century Human woman, a Starfleet officer who served as chief engineer aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2250s decade.
Biography[]
Barry was in charge of engineering when Lieutenant Junior Grade Montgomery Scott first reported for service as an engineer in the year 2253. Barry graduated from Starfleet Academy in 2243 and excelled at photon acceleration technology. (TOS novels: Vulcan's Glory, The Rift)
Barry was frequently recalled to work on other Constitution-class vessels throughout her tenure, leaving Moves-With-Burning-Grace as chief engineer for periods of time. In 2256, she left the Enterprise along with Scotty, leaving Avedis Galadjian as chief. (DSC novel: The Enterprise War)
By the year 2257, Barry and Galadjian had been succeeded as chief engineer of the Enterprise by a man named Louvier. (DSC episode: "An Obol for Charon")
