Senior Accountant

Renowned for their innovative solutions, our client have established themselves as industry leaders in their field. As they continue to expand, they are now seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team.

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the finance department, leading a team and ensuring the highest standards of financial accuracy and compliance. Your expertise in HGB accounting standards and VAT filing will be crucial in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with HGB accounting standards.
• Manage VAT filings and ensure compliance with all HGB regulations.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders to facilitate audits and address any financial issues.

Key Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant qualification is mandatory.
• Extensive knowledge of HGB accounting standards and experience in VAT filing in accordance with HGB.
• Proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a technology or high-growth environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications.
• Fluency (Minimum B2 level) in German is required.
