    Why Kids Are Loving air up! 😍💧 Grayson, a sixth-grade student at St. Johns Country Day School in Orange Park, Florida, U.S., recently reached out to us with a handwritten letter for a class project about inventors and scientists. He chose air up® because we are "innovative and incredibly useful to encourage drinking water." 🥹 Statements like this, make me extremely happy because children are particularly vulnerable to what the food industry sells. For example, just one sugary drink a day can increase a child’s risk of obesity by 60%. → in 2022, 9% of 5-9 year olds in NZ drank 3 or more fizzy drinks per week. So kids can handle a lot less sugar than we might think, making our mission at air up even more crucial. 🥤 Yes, we also receive feedback from annoyed parents who don't want to purchase another water bottle for their kids or find it tiring to clean their kids' bottle every day. I understand that concern. However, I still believe it's a fair trade-off if we make their kids WANT to drink more water and thereby contribute to their health. (Also: cleaning always sucks. We're working on making it less of a hustle!) 💧 But back to Grayson: Making the effort to write a letter should be rewarded. So we recorded a video message to thank and encourage him. But that’s not all - we also contacted Grayson’s science teacher, Tina, and sent an air uppie with enough bottles and pods for the entire class to surprise him. 🤩 What can we learn from this? ➡ Engaged and inspiring teachers like Tina are invaluable 💜 ➡ Handwritten letters are a beautiful and meaningful way to connect 💛 ➡ The kids are alright 💚

    Why the air up facelift made me cry... 🥹 💛 Three years ago, we began crafting the first true visual vision for air up® in a small team, most often a discussion between Toma, Jaro, and myself. We collaborated intensively, building countless Miro boards. This vision started to come alive with our initial rebranding, but it had its limitations. We struggled to fully translate it into a holistic communication (imagery, texts, etc.) due to limited capacities and the constraints of our webshop setup. Fast forward three years, after another rebranding project (DARWIN) and the even bigger webshop project (REBOOT), I finally saw this vision come to life during one of our internal meetings. The team presented mock-ups of our new webshop (see images above), and yes, it brought tears to my eyes. Seeing the puzzle pieces fall into place and witnessing the team's hard work paying off was incredibly rewarding. 🙏 The implementation of these two projects has been and will continue to be a step-by-step process, but we now have the first version live on all our web pages. So, I can finally say: go to www.air-up.com and check it out. 👈 The best thing about it: it is only the beginning. The more features will be implemented, the more our webshop will look like the mock-ups in this post. There were so many people involved in making this happen, and I can’t mention everyone in this post. I will comment below to acknowledge all those who contributed to this significant milestone. 🏆 However, special thanks go to all the amazing creatives who brought project DARWIN to life (both on the brand comms and tech sides), giving the air up soul a face. As a designer, seeing so many talented creatives in the company makes my heart sing. ❤️ Huge thanks to the incredible tech team for bringing project REBOOT to life. Your dedication and countless hours of work have made our new webshop more efficient than ever and provided the structure for air up to finally show its full potential. We’ve never had a more professional project setup and execution. Having a tech team like this in physical product company makes me feel we can compete with any Silicon Valley startup. 🚀 And lastly: thank you Patric for taking a leap of faith in air up and bringing fresh perspectives and a lot of amazing techies to #airup.

    2:0 for Startups 🏆 At this year's Startup Night Ingolstadt, hosted by the Center of Entrepreneurship at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, Andreas Fraas, Team Lead IP at #airup, was the featured guest in the Fireside Talk. Granted, it was a tough timeslot, as it coincided with the soccer match between Germany and Hungary, but fortunately, people were highly interested and engaged. 🌟 Alongside Dr. Christian A. Mohr, he explored our transformative journey, discussed lessons learned in trademarks, patents, and counterfeiting, and delved into the future of modern IP management using lean, Six Sigma, and agile methods. Additionally, we skillfully leverage social media and influencer marketing to target a young, lifestyle-oriented audience, establishing ourselves as a trendy and innovative brand." Toma Perret, Head of Global Brand Strategy, and Jahan Guldurdyyeva, Community Manager, accepted the award at yesterday's event in Berlin on behalf of the entire company. Afterwards, Toma shared the Inspiration Stage with Verena Sudarić-Hefner (Universal Music Group) to talk in-depth about the power of creator marketing.     Da saß ich um zwei Uhr nachts an den finalen Designentwürfen und mir schoss der Gedanke durch den Kopf: Wenn ich jetzt einen Fehler einbaue, haben wir 80.000 Startersets für den Mülleimer produziert. 👀 Im Rahmen der Summer School 2024 von Harvard Business manager, Manager Magazines und manage › forward berichte ich zusammen mit Maximilian Böck (Marc O'Polo SE) und Thomas Saueressig (SAP) - deren Berichte ich sehr inspirierend finde - von meinen Erfahrungen als junge Unternehmerin. ➡ Wie geht man mit Momenten der totalen Überforderung um? ➡ Wie lernt man, Manager:in zu sein, während das eigene Unternehmen in kürzester Zeit von einem Studentenprojekt zu einem internationalen Erfolg wächst? ➡ Wie findet man seine Rolle, wenn man vorher noch nie wirklich angestellt war und Geschäftsführerin der erste Job überhaupt ist? Nun ja, es gibt leider kein Geheimrezept als Antwort auf diese Fragen und egal wie man es angeht, ich bin mir sicher "It's a bumpy road". 🚵♀️ Aus eigener Erfahrung kann ich sagen: Ich habe noch nie so viel gelernt. Sowohl über Themen, mit denen ich dachte, nie etwas zu tun haben zu müssen, als auch über mich selbst: Stärken, Schwächen und Blind Spots. Ich glaube, so offen und ehrlich habe ich noch nie über die weniger glamourösen Seiten des Unternehmertums gesprochen.
