Based in Argenteuil in France, Consumer Product Perfumer Maxence Moutte’s expertise spans Household and Air Care. A fan of aromatic notes in his home-care products for their familiarity and uplifting nature, Maxence grew up with the Provençal countryside scents of rosemary, thyme and dry earth, while walking with his parents every Sunday. To commemorate its Atrium Takeover installation, Brazilian fragrance brand Granado Pharmácias | Perfumaria Phebo recently invited press and influencers for a visit and breakfast at Liberty London. There, its ‘Époque Tropical’ scent, crafted by Givaudan perfumer, Guillaume Flavigny, is featured in an interactive art installation – ‘The Noseum’ – for the months of June and July. Discussing everything from the creation process to the raw materials, Guillaume explained the scent’s woody-floral composition mixing sandalwood, guaiac, mandarin and cashew – wrapped in notes of magnolia, rose and geranium. Givaudan today announces that it has completed the acquisition of b.kolormakeup & skincare, an innovative Italian company specialising in developing and producing finished makeup and skincare products for Consumer Packaged Goods, Indie Brands and Luxury Goods consumers. In line with its 2025 strategy to expand exposure and capabilities in Beauty with a focus on make-up, Givaudan announced in July 2021 that it had acquired 25% of b.kolor. This acquisition of the remaining 75% allows Givaudan to offer innovative solutions for make-up formulations and further widen its capabilities for skincare applications. This will enlarge its value proposition in the Beauty sector, having already a strong leadership in Fine Fragrances and Hair care. Maurizio Volpi, President of Givaudan’s Fragrance & Beauty Division, said “After 3 years of successful partnership with b.kolor, this is a great achievement for Givaudan to complete this acquisition, promising a very exciting journey.
