🚨 RED ALERT 🚨 The hydrogen sub-quota for industry 🏭 and transport 🚢 stemming from the Renewable Energy Directive ("RED III") have been the talk of the town in the hydrogen sector for quite a while. However, the directive leaves quite some #flexibilities and open choices to the Member States on how they wish to implement the targets. ✍🏼 The Belgian Hydrogen Council has therefore written a #positionpaper for all Belgian governments with recommendations and guidance on how to implement the hydrogen sub-targets in the best way in Belgium. Het is belangrijk dat Europese financieringsinstrumenten zoveel mogelijk bijdragen aan de versterking van de Europese technologieontwikkelingskracht en concurrentiepositie. De Europese Commissie wil daarom specifieke Europese kwalificatiecriteria op basis van Europese standaarden voor te stellen voor electrolyserprojecten die deelnemen aan de tweede Europese waterstofveiling van de #hydrogenbank. 💰 📨 WaterstofNet en twaalf andere Europese waterstofassociaties verzoeken de Europese Commissie via een open brief (zie onderstaand) om strengere en meer specifieke kwalificatiecriteria op te stellen omtrent de oorsprong van de componenten van de #electrolysers dan dat zij nu van plan is. WaterstofNet and VIL realize demo with #hydrogen-powered ground support equipment at Brussels Airport test ➡ In the framework of the Stargate project WaterstofNet in assignment of VIL, organizes a demo with a hydrogen-powered ‘ground support equipment’ (#GSE) at Brussels-Zaventem Airport. ➡ The test gains more insights in the pros and cons onsite, in order to enable the greening of the ground support- and handling equipment. ➡ The demo also means a first at Brussels Airport: the introduction of #hydrogen at the airport through the use of a (mobile) hydrogen #refuelling #station (HRS). https://lnkd.in/dYcRGd6J
