The built-in firewall has been a source of many unexplained connectivity and browsing issues. Many users prefer to disable it and use one of the more popular, stable firewalls like Norton or McAfee. Note: The firewall feature and configuration screen is not available if your network adapters are set to bridged mode.

Click on the Start button, click on the Settings button, then Network Connections and highlight the Local Area Network or network device entry you wish to change the firewall settings. Right click on the Local Area Network or network device then select Properties.



Select the Advanced Tab and check or uncheck the box depending on your preference. Click OK.
