GTE areas of Verizon do not need PPPoe (WinPoet/Raspppoe) for their setup. This is only needed by the old BellAtlantic customers.

The only thing that needs to be done is to set the NIC (or router) for DHCP.
Here's how to do it for win 95/98.(NIC)

1. Left click on the Start Button in the lower left corner
2. Left click on Settings
3. Left click on Control Panel
4. Double left click on the "Network" icon
5. Left click on the item that is your TCP/IP settings for your network card. It would look something like "TCP/IP -> Ethernet Adapter"
6. Left click on the "Properties" button
7. Select the option "Obtain an IP address automatically:"
8. You may also ignore the tabs "DNS Configuration ""Bindings", "Advanced", "WINS Configuration" and "NetBIOS." They are purely optional
9. Left click on the "OK" button twice
10. Windows should now prompt you to restart your computer, please select "Yes" to do so
11. Open browser and surf away.(Assuming your SRD has passed and you have Sync).
