I Love everything about Pentagon MMA, all my Krus help in anyway they possibly can, truly always taking the time to make sure I become the best fighter I can be! I'm happy to call this gym my home as I'm always learning new techniques and ways to master my skills.

They do not have an inviting culture.
Their mindset is profit over pedagogy.
They charge you for everything.
They don't teach you good form and the classes are mediocre.
The instructor is on his phone while "instructing" you could be doing the drill wrong the entire time and no correction.

I have taken few BJJ classes and few women's kick boxing classes in Pentagon MMA. They have the most friendliest staffs and they are very welcoming. They let me lift some weights while there were no classes going on! Such a family oriented gym! 100% recommend!!!

100% recommend great place to train for all ages and all levels, great workout and great coaches for anyone looking to train in the area.

We have loved our experience at Pentagon MMA so much, and this review is several aspects of our experience. My kids spent several years here including a year of Digital School (pandemic times) for my oldest which then rolled into Summer Camps followed by classes. I have stood outside the door and watched my kids anywhere between 2-4/a week between both kids classes and have completed their Situational Awareness course.

Summer Camp - My kids loved the weeks of summer camp at Pentagon MMA. The weeks are action packed and the kids stay active. There are trips, many activities and learning experiences. The kids went to Mount Vernon, they did obstacles, crafts, brought home science experiments. We have done a lot of county camps, sports camps, etc and I can say that this is a well run kids camp. The instructors run the camps so the kids receive the same messages of respect and discipline.

MMA classes for little kids/older kids - the lessons my kids have learned in these classes including those of respect and integrity and the encouragement to work hard and persevere are priceless. I highly recommend them and if you have been thinking about it, you should give it a try. I believe there may be trial classes. Otherwise contract lengths are anywhere from 6 months to 1 year, which may sound long, but for any child to hear these positive messages from a respected adult and physically and mentally work hard 2-3 times a week was well worth it.
(Moms and Dads have their own opportunity to experience the training during Mother's and Father's Days, and it's definitely a work out and helps you understand how much strength and endurance the kids have and develop).

Situational Awareness Seminar - I attended a several hour long course on Sundays for a month for adults. It was life changing, very empowering, and educational. The course teaches you about self defense, the intricacies of self defense in today's world and how to change your mindset to survive. I highly recommend this course.

The last thing I have to say about PMMA is that the instructors, the staff, and all the other members are amazing. They become like family. I highly recommend Pentagon MMA for all the above. It looks like there are also competitions and training groups aside from my scope that look very exciting.

This review is for the summer camp. We had enrolled our son here multiple weeks of summer camp (which we've done for 3 years now). It was a lot more expensive than our other camp but we had previously had good experiences.

This year he got sick his first week there (and in turn got our entire family sick) which caused him to miss the second week. We understand that getting sick happens but when we called to let them know and see if we could move to another week/get future credit they told us no worries, just contact Grace to arrange that because they're waitlisted.

Well apparently Grace told the person I spoke with yesterday that there are no credits or refunds. Our son was basically healthy enough to send midway through the week but to be responsible, we decided to hold him back so that what happened to us, didn't happen to anyone else.

Grace was supposed to call me back and has not. This policy is exactly why the parents sent their sick child. Our other camp allows us to move weeks or keep credit for future years because they don't want their kids all getting sick. Any other parents looking to send their kids to summer camp here should be aware of this policy as our whole family was sick for 2 weeks due to this. Avoid, we won't be back next year and no longer want a credit.

Review for Muay Thai. I've been going for over a year now and I can't praise them enough. A very welcoming staff and trainers who want you to be your best self. They push you to challenge yourself without being overbearing and understand everyone has different goals. If you want to train hard to destroy in the ring or just want to improve your fitness, the focus is on improvement and not being the "best". The coaches all have different styles and allows you to really learn from different vantage points all in a fun environment. It is still very difficult(!) but the point at the end of the day is to have fun while pushing yourself.

It's great to have a little family there that is encouraging but also focuses on pushing towards improvement. Highly recommend.

You read the phrase all the time on Yelp "if I could give this place six stars, I would do it in a heartbeat!" Well, six stars would be aiming a bit too low...try seven or eight stars!

Pentagon MMA is the place to go if you want to take interesting classes from world-renowned experts in Muay Thai (also known as Kickboxing or Thai Boxing), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), and mixed martial arts, and GET IN THE BEST SHAPE OF YOUR LIFE!

Their website claims that "fitness goes to a new level with full-body workouts that build muscle and improve flexibility." They're spot on and maybe even a bit humble. A 45 minute workout here is a kick butt session that will leave even the most in-shape athlete drenched at the end of the session.

I've been here 3 times and just signed up for a full year of classes. The instructors and staff are warm, friendly and welcoming. They'll make sure you feel right at home here at Pentagon MMA. Come here and get fit. You will be so glad you took the leap!

Highly recommend PMMA. The instructors and other students are extremely friendly and eager to help. I've been going for over a year now and have made great friends while learning a lot and having a bunch of fun along the way.

I recently started working out at Pentagon MMA, and I'm so happy I have! Everyone is welcoming and helpful. My personal trainer, Nora, assuredly pushes me without going so far that I'd give up. She's an accomplished athlete but doesn't bring an ego to our workouts. She's a natural teacher who reads her students well and motivates them!!!
