This talk will cover the design of the new street lighting protocol from the Investor Confidence Project, just launched in April 2018. The protocol providers quality assurance around the energy savings achieved by upgrading street lighting, allowing projects to be certified as ‘Investor Ready’. She discusses how the protocol can help attract financial backing for projects and boost their scale, scope and quality, while providing an easy-to-use pathway for project developers. The talk will include an invitation to ILP members, contractors and project developers to get involved with the programme by submitting pilot projects for certification, and benefit from funded support to become among the first to market. by Bethan Phillips, Verco
MAMOC is a machine learning application that uses motion capture to provide digital process data and optimization for manual production stations. It uses an Intel RealSense camera to record depth video and identify objects, hand poses, and actions. The application was tested by assembling a speaker kit and showed potential to integrate human processes with digital workflows, optimize throughput and quality, and achieve an accuracy level of TRL 3-4. Further development is needed to improve action detection accuracy and integration could provide benefits for industrial engineering optimization projects.
The Netherlands has established a National API Strategy through a bottom-up initiative started by government organizations in 2018. The strategy aims to exchange API knowledge, formulate common standards, and improve interoperability of public sector APIs. Working groups were formed to develop the strategy in areas such as user requirements, design rules, security, and architecture. Over 30 APIs have been developed following the API Design Rules standard. Future work includes further formalizing the standards and expanding adoption of APIs across more government organizations and services.

The document outlines the tendering procedure and requirements for an R&D project seeking innovative cloud computing and data archiving solutions. It describes the criteria that will be used to evaluate tenders, including exclusion, selection, and compliance criteria assessed on a pass/fail basis, as well as award criteria used to determine a quality score. The evaluation process involves administrative, technical, and financial assessments to identify the compliant tenders with the highest quality scores based on factors like technical design, data privacy protections, and cost effectiveness. Draft tender documents are provided for feedback to help scope the requirements.

I4MS 2015: Enhancing digital transformation in manufacturing SMEs I4MS 2015 will explore the progress achieved by the I4MS initiative and the impact participation has had on SMEs. To date I4MS has achieved over 80% industrial participation. An initial participation of 80 SMEs has now grown to 150 as momentum continues to build. Success is also evident with SME participation in projects leading to the adaption of new technologies and approaches. I4MS phase two will take this success further through additional projects supported by a budget of approximately EUR 35 Mn. At I4MS 2015 participating SMEs will present their experiences, results achieved and impact made. They will explain how they have benefited and what the adaption of innovative ICT has meant for their business. European support does not just exist at EU level. Action at regional level supported through programmes such as Smart Specialisation present the good opportunity to reach out to and involve the diverse landscape of European SMEs. At I4MS 2015 participants will be introduced to a new activity designed for such outreach – digital innovation competence centres – and an outlook towards the next stage of I4MS. I4MS is a EUR 77 Mn initiative of the 'Factories of the Future' partnership designed to support the adaption of innovative ICT by SMEs. Through seven integrated projects in four key areas, I4MS brings manufacturing SMEs directly into research and innovation projects, introducing them to innovative technologies and supporting the adoption of such technologies.
