Michigan's Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program assists public water suppliers in meeting the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act and address environmental or public health concerns by offering low-interest loans (for 20, 30, or 40-years) to eligible water suppliers.

For more information on the DWSRF program, view the DWSRF Info Sheet

For questions on the program, contact the Water Infrastructure Funding and Financing Section or reach out to the SRF Project Manager located in your EGLE District Office.

How to Apply

Potential applicants to the DWSRF should first review the DWSRF Eligibility Guidance. Eligible applicants must submit the Intent to Apply (ITA) form below to be considered for funding and financing opportunities. All financing determinations are based on applicant eligibility, priority points, and availability of funds. Applicants should apply for a project with the expectation the program is a loan program first and foremost.

Submittal of this form will assign a Water Infrastructure Funding and Financing Section (WIFFS) project manager to discuss the next steps in the planning process. Any questions regarding your project can be directed to WIFFS Staff.

The Intent to Apply (ITA) form is accepting submissions for fiscal year 2026. The form must be submitted by November 1, 2024. You can preview the ITA form before submittal to view the information required to complete the form.
