EGLE's interactive calendar is designed to provide timely information on decisions before the Director, proposed settlements of contested cases, administrative rules promulgation, public hearings, meetings and comment deadlines, and environmental conferences, workshops and training programs.
The Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides all persons (except persons incarcerated in correctional facilities) with access to public records of public bodies. Requests to inspect or receive public records from EGLE must be in writing and describe the requested records with enough detail to enable the department to identify and locate the requested records. Some records are exempt from disclosure under the FOIA or another statute and thus will not be provided. A fee may be charged to process your request. Please note that many records are available that do not require a formal FOIA request.

The DWAM Grant program was a drinking water infrastructure financial assistance program developed by EGLE. The program provided grant funding to assist community drinking water supplies with asset management plan development and updates, and/or distribution system materials inventories as defined in Michigan's revised Lead and Copper Rule. $36.5 million in funding was initially available under the MI Clean Water Plan umbrella, with a maximum grant award per applicant of $1 million.
Applications were accepted beginning October 15, 2020. EGLE received applications totaling well over the amount of funds available. Applications were prioritized based on scoring criteria outlined in the application and guidance materials. Applications are no longer being accepted.
Under the passage of Public Act (PA) 53 of 2022, American Rescue Plan (ARP), an additional $20 million was allocated to the DWAM program. From the ARP monies, $5 million must be awarded to systems serving a population of not more than 10,000. New applications were not accepted as EGLE continued utilizing the existing DWAM priority list.
As of February 23, 2023, all $36.5 million available under the MI Clean Water Plan has been awarded. As of July 6, 2023, all additional $20 million in ARP funds has been awarded. Of the additional funds allocated from ARP, more than $13 million has gone to systems that serve a population less than 10,000.
