EGLE's interactive calendar is designed to provide timely information on decisions before the Director, proposed settlements of contested cases, administrative rules promulgation, public hearings, meetings and comment deadlines, and environmental conferences, workshops and training programs.
The Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides all persons (except persons incarcerated in correctional facilities) with access to public records of public bodies. Requests to inspect or receive public records from EGLE must be in writing and describe the requested records with enough detail to enable the department to identify and locate the requested records. Some records are exempt from disclosure under the FOIA or another statute and thus will not be provided. A fee may be charged to process your request. Please note that many records are available that do not require a formal FOIA request.

The Consolidation and Contamination Risk Reduction (C2R2) Grant program was developed by EGLE under Michigan's Clean Water Plan. The C2R2 grant was established to provide financial assistance to community drinking water systems needing to remove or reduce PFAS or other contaminants. The program was allocated $25 million in total funds with a maximum grant award per applicant of $5 million. Applications were accepted beginning November 16, 2020.
EGLE’s Water Infrastructure Funding and Financing Section (WIFFS), Remediation and Redevelopment Division (RDD), and Drinking Water and Environmental Health Division (DWEHD) finalized prioritization of the C2R2 applications in April 2021. Applications were scored based on the criteria outlined in the C2R2 Grant Overview.
Of the original $25 million in funding available for the C2R2, $5 million was allotted for consolidation projects. Under the passage of Public Act (PA) 53 of 2022, American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds in the amount of $18 million were allocated to the C2R2 program to address PFAS contamination.
As of July 3, 2023, all C2R2 grant agreements have been issued and funding for the program is now exhausted. Grant amounts may have changed from the original application based on eligibility determinations, updated scope, etc. The program is closed and applications are not being accepted.
