Brad Pagratis

Information Management Division Director

Brad Pagratis directs the Information Management Division of the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). He oversees the department's Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) processes, information technology initiatives, Geographic Information System (GIS) efforts, and EGLE's public and employee websites.

Brad has experience in all three of the State of Michigan's Quality of Life agencies: EGLE, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD). He started his career at MDARD and most recently worked in the DNR executive division before joining EGLE in 2019. A common thread of connecting programs with technology and supporting improved processes runs through all of his positions.

With nearly 25 years of state government experience, Brad has extensive skills in system development, process improvement, customer service, and developing and leading successful teams. He also has built strong relationships with Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) employees while leading the customer-facing divisions of the Client Service Center and Field Services.

Brad graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, with majors in mathematics and philosophy. He is also a graduate of Michigan State University's Great Lakes Leadership Academy.

He lives in Dansville with his wife and two children. Brad enjoys coaching and playing soccer, and spending time enjoying Michigan's great natural resources through hunting, fishing, and camping.
