#OneThingToKnow The finest balance between business and personal life results from loving what you do. Being passionate about your profession makes it not feel like a chore to balance personal time against it. Though you might not begin working on what you love, you can come to find joy in it. Love can develop over time with effort and a positive attitude, much as in personal relationships. When you really enjoy your work, the boundary separating personal and professional life naturally becomes blurred. Your job starts to occupy a satisfying portion of your life, not something apart from it. ✔ The secret is discovering or generating significance for your work. This method transforms "balancing" into "blending," enhancing your whole life's fulfillment.

I maintain work-life balance by applying my Mama's Balance Blueprint. What's the blueprint about? It's using manageable, sustainable, realistic, & practical tools I use it to bring balance in my life through: → Being aware of my time and any time wasters → Organizing my priorities that includes my "must-do's" and my "want-to's" → Doing my priorities at strategic times in my day → Building and maintaining my boundaries so I can have a balance just right for me Balance is always about what makes sense for YOU

#OneThingToKnow I believe in work-life continuum as opposed to work-life balance. Work -life balance to me appears a dichotomous concept that separates work and life as two distinct arenas. It is not. Work is because life is, and vice versa. We don’t go to work leaving life behind. I believe in and prescribe a ‘fluid approach’ for maintaining a peaceful and happy existence while practising work-life continuum. Even at work, none of us should be cut off from our familial and other non-work commitments. For instance, if one has to do web checkin of one’s mother’s flight during office hours, we should happily do it. So many ladies are part of workforce and they get many calls from their domestic helps , home and other support system that they have created. I have seen these ladies cringe when they get such calls during office hours. I encourage them to take those calls and dispose of them. When they are not able to resolve those issues their mind loses focus. They are neither at home and now they are not in office !! Work-life continuum keeps one available for both ‘work’ and ‘non-work’ cohorts with varying degree of skew !! Who needs you more ‘at the moment’ ? Doesn’t matter what time or place it is. The skew decides !!

I think work life balance is an old concept, a new one is “work life integration” and I’m able to manage that. My working hours are stretched for more than 10 hours of the day hence I’ve integrated my life with work. I take breaks to read a page of the book. I take breaks to enjoy a cup of coffee. I don’t postpone my plans of purchasing grocery items for home to weekend, I find time for that as well. So this is for anyone who is struggling to manage their work and life. Try integrating the two areas, you may find a balance.

hashtag #OneThingToKnow I am a Media content creator, I play an advocacy role for women and people with disability and I am also a scholar. I am juggling these roles therefore, creating a sustainable lifetime called for a deliberate and purposeful decision on what comes first, when, and how. I consciously studied what my works entail, identified the difficult aspects, and simplified them to the barest minimum without losing focus and the messages. I created a team of like-minded colleagues, trained them, and was able to identify each one's strengths and weaknesses. This made it easy for me to delegate, assign responsibilities, and equip them with the tools for their trade. With an effective and efficient team, I was able to create time to attend to other aspects of my life including family and holidays while the work went on. We take turns going on holidays to avoid burning out while meeting and achieving goals and making progress as individuals and as a team.

Work-life balance 😵☠️ Life-work synergy ✅🙌🏾 In the pursuit of life-work design, striving for balance is a zero-sum game and a false dichotomy. True synergy between work and life goes beyond balance – it’s about integration. Here’s how I achieve this: Implementing the Three Revolutions of Life-Work Synergy: Internal Revolution: - Mindset Shift: Reclaim your mental space by setting clear boundaries and prioritizing self-care. This includes daily mindfulness practices and regular reflections to align with your values. External Revolution: - Work Environment: Redefine your workspace and habits to support your goals. This means organizing your day to include focused work periods and dedicated personal time without overlap. Community Revolution: - Support Network: Surround yourself with a community that uplifts and inspires you. Invest in relationships that foster growth and provide mutual personal and professional support. 📍 By embracing these revolutions, I’ve created a harmonious flow where work supports my life, and my life enriches my work. This approach doesn’t just balance; it integrates, ensuring that both spheres enhance each other. LinkedIn Guide to Creating #LifeWorkRevolution #OneThingToKnow #WorkLifeSynergy #MindsetShift

#OneThingToKnow to maintain a sustainable work-life balance is to be intentional about your time. 🎯 At work, this means considering that the day has a beginning and an end. Beyond to-do lists, time blocking is the only way to ensure that you make deliberate use of your time and devote time to important goals. Using a shutdown ritual allows you to close the loops after your day's work and devote yourself fully to your leisure or family. At work or outside work, making deliberate use of your time starts with defining your core values. They determine what's important, what you want to achieve and how you're going to get there.

Certainly, when you're juggling responsibilities from work, your partner, and your children, it can feel overwhelming. The most crucial thing you can do is to **practice self-care**. Self-care is not just about physical health, but also about maintaining your mental and emotional health. This could mean setting aside time each day for relaxation or an activity you enjoy, getting regular exercise, eating healthy, or seeking support from a therapist or counselor. Remember, you can't pour from an empty cup. Taking care of yourself will not only help you maintain a sustainable work-life balance, but it will also make you more equipped to handle the problems of others. It's okay to ask for help and take time for yourself. You deserve it.

First: Setting my priorities and organizing my time well. Second: Allocating enough time for personal and social activities. Third: Taking care of my physical and mental health through exercising and relaxation. Fourth: Stepping away from work during rest times. Fifth: Maintaining continuous communication with relatives, friends, and loved ones. Sixth: Enjoying activities that help relax the mind and renew energy. #onethingtoknow
