La startup française a en effet été sélectionnée parmi plus de 1500 startups travaillant sur des solutions d'élimination du carbone (EDC).   Quelques mois après l'annonce de sa levée de fonds de 18 millions d'euros et la certification de son usine située à Lajinha, dans l’État du Minas Gerais, devenue ainsi la plus grande installation au monde produisant du biochar à partir de résidus végétaux à être certifiée, NetZero poursuit ainsi son développement fulgurant.   XPRIZE est un pionnier mondial dans la conception de concours visant à relever les plus grands défis de l'humanité. I had a blast talking on stage at Innovation Zero today when Milkywire announced that Yama (formerly Maia) was selected as 1 of the 13 cutting-edge carbon removal suppliers for its Climate Transformation Fund. As part of the prize we will be purchased carbon credits from early buyers such as Klarna. I used this attention window to remind the emergency to MASSIVELY FUND NOW technological CDR to get to gigaton scale removal by 2050 to stay below 1.5°C. Investors only look at business incentives so it can only come from the extension of government incentives such as the IRA in USA and from carbon credits buyers such as the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM). To help buyers take on larger volumes, average higher price and longer-term commitments on VCM, generalizing the supply of a mixed package of carbon credits - from nature-based CDR solutions to technological solutions - stabilizing risk (sustainability, project) and price (from $5/t with trees to $2,000/t with geological formation injection) is THE SOLUTION. This market can only become liquid if the quality of the credits is homogeneous, just as we blend coffee beans from different countries to obtain a homogeneous taste and simplify sales!
