WelbeHealth is thrilled about the progress the larger Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act is making. This act will enable more veterans to access care in their homes and communities, including local Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). It will also support veterans in finding organizations like WelbeHealth. WelbeHealth External Affairs Director Lisa Ard, MPA, expressed, "WelbeHealth applauds this bipartisan legislative effort that will expand access for US veterans to the PACE program. As an organization, we deeply value the sacrifices that veterans have made on behalf of our country and believe it’s vital that we uphold the sacred contract we have with them. WelbeHealth held a Community Open House in our San Jose Center last week. We welcomed the community including potential participants, partners, and team members for a day of connection and engagement. It was a beautiful showcase of WelbeHealth's mission in action. Highlights of the day included engaging activities such as meeting our care team members, center tours including our occupational therapy, medical and dental exam rooms, a potting plant activity, and assistance with Medi-Cal applications. In addition, the community partner reception, held on the rooftop, was a wonderful opportunity to connect with partners like Sutter Health - Bay Area, LifeSTEPS, John Stewart and Company, EAH, MidPen Housing Corporation, Alzheimer's Association®NorCAL, Rocketship Public Schools, and more. #seniorhealthcare #bayarea #sanjose #communityparterships #qualitycare
